Registration and all inquiries will be dealt with at the Registration and Information Desk on the first floor of the Hotel.
The Desk will be open from 11 a.m. on September 6 until the evening of September 8.

The plenary sessions will be held in the conference room "Helia" and workshop sessions will be held in the conference rooms "Mercure", "Panorama" and "Uranus".

Language

The official language of the Conference is English. Translation will not be provided.

  - Reception by Hungarian Patent Office and the Hungarian Council for the Protection of Intellectual
    Property – Friday, September 7, 2007
  - Gala Dinner – Saturday, September 8, 2007
- coffee breaks and lunches during the conference

Accompanying Persons

All registered accompanying guests are welcome to the social events of the conference:
- Welcome Reception - Thursday, the 6th September,
- Reception of the Hungarian Patent Office - Friday, the 6th September and
- Gala Dinner - Saturday, the 8th September.
The participation fee for these events is only EUR 200. To register an accompanying person please fill-in the Registration Form accordingly.

The conference venue was selected not least with the leisure-time of our accompanying guests in mind. Cancellations

As to our cancellation policy, 90% of the registration fee will be refunded if the cancellation is re-ceived before July 1, 2007, a 50% refund will be given before July 31, 2007 and a 25% refund will be given before August 15, 2007. No refunds after this term.
All refunds will be processed after the Conference.

Payment

- The registration fee can be paid by bank transfer or by VISA or EUROCARD/MASTER-CARD cards.
  We are not in a position to accept other cards. Please enter onto the regist-ration form the card
  number, date of expiry, name exactly as it appears on the card and your authorisa-tion as to debit
  your card.

- Please note that there may be slight differences in the finally debited amount, due to the fluctuation
  of the exchange rate between Euro and the Hungarian Forint.

- If you intend to pay by bank transfer, you will find the necessary data on the Registration Form.
  Please send us a copy of the bank transfer simultaneously with the Registration Form by facsimile
  to the Conference Secretariat. After receiving your payment a faxed invoice will be issued. The
  original copy of the invoice will be presented upon registration.

- All bank charges must be paid by the payer.

Travel

Transportation between Ferihegy International Airport (Terminals I and II) and the hotels is available by
- Airport Shuttle Minibus Service (for 2,300 HUF). To book your place on site please contact the
  Minibus Service at the Airport or call + 36 1 296-8555 for a reservation in advance.

- ZONA Taxi, the official partner of Budapest Airport (www.zonataxi.eu; phone +36 1 365-5555). The
  fixed rate for both conference hotels is 4,200 Hungarian Forint or €19.

Parking

Parking is available in both conference hotels (a parking fee is charged in IBIS).
If driving in the city, always try to park in a guarded parking lot and do not leave any valuables in the car.
Please note that Budapest is divided into different parking zones in which parking tariffs may slightly differ. Parking tickets are available from parking meters. The maximum duration of parking on streets is 2 usually hours.

Currency, exchange

The official currency in Hungary is the Hungarian Forint (HUF). 1 € is approx. 250 HUF (rate prevailing as of March 19).
Currency exchange facilities are offered at the airport, in hotels and in banks. ATMs are extensively available practically anywhere in Budapest.

Credit Card

In general, VISA, EC/MC and American Express cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants, cafés, shops and petrol stations.

Electricity

The voltage in Hungary is 230 V, 50 Hz AC.

Insurance
The registration fee does not include any provision of insurance.
Participants are advised to take adequate personal travel insurance.

Climate

Due to Hungary’s continental climate, the weather at the beginning of September should be rather pleasant. The average temperature should be 17-22 °C daytime and 10-15 °C at night. Humidity is rather low; however rainy days may be expected. If you stay in the Health Spa Resort HELIA, please do not forget to pack your bathing suit.

Attire

Business attire is recommended during conference sessions, evening dress / dark suit for the Gala Dinner and casual dress during the tours.

Badges

Delegates and accompanying persons are kindly requested to always wear their name badges when attending conference programs.
