| Professional Program |
| The main
topic of the 2003 conference will be complex IP protection - how to provide appropriate
protection, when various aspects of the same "piece" of intellectual property
must be safeguarded. Of course, we will also endeavor to give you an update on the actual
or expected developments in IP laws, such as the progress on the Patent Law Treaty (PLT)
and the Substantive Patent Law Treaty (SPLT), and the new EU Registered Design rules. Several speakers will address the patent and trade mark enforcement practice, and will provide an insight into such "emerging" IP jurisdictions as China, India, Korea and Russia, which countries will most likely become important players on the international IP scene. The Workshop A: Patents will contain such "evergreens" as the EPO and USPTO practice. The program may be subject to change. For eventual changes, and for the detailed schedule of the presentations, please check out the homepage of the conference (www.mie.org.hu/aippi/index.htm) which will be updated continuously. The final conference program will be sent to all registered participants, but may be also requested from the Secretariat. |
