Greg Kirsch is a shareholder with Needle & Rosenberg, P.C., a major
intellectual property (IP) law firm in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A. N&R is a
full-service IP law firm with attorneys practicing patent, trademark,
copyright and trade secret law, as well as IP licensing and litigation.
N&R's patent attorneys and agents have expertise in the full spectrum of
scientific and technical fields, including software, electronics,
biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and mechanics. Many of N&R's
patent professionals have Ph.D or Master degrees in their respective
fields, and the firm's patent attorneys also include a medical doctor
(M.D.) and a veterinarian.
Greg leads the firm's electronics, software and business method patent
practice group, and also practices in the fields copyrights and computer
and technology law. Greg and his group represent clients ranging from
small start-ups to large multinational technology companies.
Greg is a frequent speaker at conferences on software and business method
patent protection, both in the United States and Europe. In October 2002,
Greg authored the patent section of a book on Internet law, published by
Random House.
In early 2003, Greg was appointed by the World Intellectual Property
Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland to its "List of Neutrals" - a
list of arbitrators and mediators who may be selected to resolve IP
disputes between private parties.
In addition to his full-time legal practice, Greg serves as an adjunct
professor of patent law at Emory University School of Law in Atlanta.
Greg is married to Lanie Kirsch, and they have two children.
